On this page are some of my favorite movies of all time. I am a huge movie person to the point they will probably be the biggest collection of things I'll ever have! I was brought up on movies and my parents exposed me to many different genres, even though the horror genre I'm really not into. The ones that are listed here are only a few of the ones that I love, there are far more in my collection. I enjoy movies so much that I even considered film school to be a producer or a director, but that fell through. Hope you like these!
By far one of the highest franchising book series of our time, Harry Potter is a phenomenon that has swept over countless countries the world over. Now the famed book series has been turned into a series of movies. There are many readers of the book who think that the movies do not do just to the book, which is true because they leave a lot of pieces of the books out but they are still good nonetheless. For those who have not read the books, the movies are a fairly accurate depiction of the major parts of the stories. The casting is pretty good for the most part though some would disagree, everyone is a critic. I love the books and I love the movies as well, they are fantastic when they are taken as their own entity apart from the books.
This series really is not that old and it is already considered one of America's classic movies. A kid goes back in time to when his parents were teenagers and his mom falls in love with him. It is up to him to bring his parents back together so that he and his two older siblings will be born. A lot of comedy, action, plot turns flow through each part of the trilogy. Each escapade leads to different parts of time which do something to the present that the Marty and Doc Brown are from. By the end of the trilogy the time machine is destroyed and the present time of 1985 is back to as normal as it can be. These are gret movies with great stories. Watch them if you haven't yet, they really are worthy of being classics.
By far this movie should be considered my generation's &ldquo Grease&rdquo . This is a great musical that speaks to the fact that everyone is equal whether you are big, small, black, white, skinny, or plump. The story is set in the 1960s when segregation was still a big thing. There were busses for black and whites, tv shows for black and white, everywhere you look there was segregation. This story is about a plump young girl who is setting out to do great things. She tries out for a spot on a popular TV show and get the part. She is beginning to live her own dream when she sees how the black cast is treated by the station manager. The rest of the movie chronicles what she has to go through to make the TV show officially integrated and along the way she picks up an unlikely love interest. It is a great story that is still appropriate for our time and that's probably why it is such a large hit and the score is pretty amazing.
This movie is a wonderful remake of the hit TV series. In its time Transformers was one of the best cartoons on air and spawned another show called Beast Wars. The story is set in present day America and these alien robots come here looking for the source of all life on their planet. Their planet was destroyed and the cube was lost to space before it landed on Earth. This cube is called the Allspark. The robots who come here in search of it can transform from their humanoid bodies into any large thing with a motor. The good guys, the Autobots, are all different types of cars whereas the bad guys, the Decepticons, are many different kinds of vehicles from jet fighters, to tanks, to police cruisers. This is an action packed movie with a great cast of both actors and voice actors. It is a must see for anyone who remembers the old cartoon and loves it.
