Resumé

There is a lot of variety when it comes to my professional "career." I feel that everything I have done in life has improved me, and that everything I have done up to this point is contributing to my eventual career. Part-time jobs are on the same level as internships and brief stints at summer camp. Every experience in life contributes to who you are, and as a person that defines myself by what I'm doing, it's important for me to know that the things that have shaped me are benefitting my professional career. My resumé is always being updated, but I've included some of the things I am currently involved in, a... current events listing, of sort.

Currently, I'm co-coordinator of the Student Reading Series, a group that organizes readings for students in the GVSU Writing Department. The 2009-2010 school year was my first full year as a co-coordinator, but I started sometime in the 2008-2009 school year; I think it was December. We currently have four readings scheduled for the 2010-2011 school year, including our annual Senior Reading, where selected Writing seniors show off the best pieces in their portfolio. In addition to that, there will be numerous poetry slams and themed readings, ending with the Writing Awards Ceremony that takes place at the end of the school year.

I'm employed part-time by Apple, Inc. at the Apple Store Woodland, in the Woodland mall. I currently work as a Specialist, or a salesman, although I do personal training sessions as well. The personal training sessions consist of fifty minutes worth of focused training on Apple products, covering Macs, iPods, iPhones and the iPad, and cover the software as well as the hardware. I enjoy photography and moviemaking, and those are my emphases when it comes to career goals in the future. My goal is to fill a Creative, or full-time trainer, position in the store.
