In high school, I participated at the varsity level in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track and was a co-captain on the football team. As a sophomore, I attended the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation (HOBY) Conference and as a junior, I was a member of Presidential Classroom in Washington, DC. I was also a member of S.A.D.D., National Honor Society, Student government (class vice-president as a junior and again as a senior), Odyssey of the Mind (seven time regional champion and one time state champion - seventh in nationals), Drama, Future Problem Solving (Silver Award in state competition), Habitat for Humanity, Assistant Junior-high boys basketball coach, Senior Male Student-Athlete of the Year, and finish seventh in my class with a 3.98 grade point average. In college I studied in England for a semester at Kingston University and have been an active member of the Passport Program for two years where I first served as a mentor then as a member of the Student Coordinating Team of the Passport Program. In this capacity, I was one of eight students who planned and coordinated the program. Being a part of this program as well as my experience at Kingston University were the most rewarding experiences of my college career. |
