Are you interested in travelling Germany yourself?

Here are my personal travel tips to make your trip to Germany as enjoyable as possible and that will leave you as much of a Deutschland-Fan as I am. These are the most commonly visited cities; however I also highly recommend spending some time in lesser known towns such as the countless picturesque towns that speckle across all of Bayern (Bavaria).

Berlin

Berlin is the capital of die Bundesrepublik Deutschland. A city filled with hundreds of years of German history will surely leave any visitor in awe. The city can perhaps best be viewed by taking a boat tour along the rivers through Berlin. Other tourist attractions include the Reichstag (German parliament building) where you can walk to the top of its famous glass Dom (dome), the TV Tower that offers a breathtaking overview of the entire city, Checkpoint Charlie which was one of the most famous locations along the Berlin Wall that divided the city in half during the Cold War, and museum island featuring every museum you could dream of inside the Gothic architecture of pre WWII Germany.

Muenchen (Munich)

Munich sits in the heart of Bavaria, the Texas of Germany, known for its rich culture of Beer and Lederhosen (the traditional appaeral of Bavarians). Munich is the technologically advanced city of Germany that is known for being home to some of Germany's largest corporations headquarters. Munich is also the city of sports. Munich played host to both the 1936 and 1972 Olympic games and you can still visit the massive Olympische Park (olympic park) where it all took place as well as bikeride through a massive trail system. A cool sight to look for is the surfers that surf in a 10 foot wide rapid right in the center of Munich! But beware because Munich is well known as the most expensive German city...

Hamburg

Hamburg is a center of German shipping and industry. It is a very multi-cultural city and perhaps the most of any German cities. One of the city's most notorious parts is the Raeperbahn (red light district) where you can find the ladies of the night, who are legal and taxed as legitament job-holders in Germany, soliciting on almost every street corner.
