WHO WE ARE

History:  The International Club was founded this past year here at Grand Valley State University as a result of increased number of International Students and the lack of such a club until now.  In the past there used to be a organization but it did not function for too long.  

Purpose:  IC will sponsor a number of cultural, social and educational programs that give GVSU students a better understanding of cultures other than their own.  IC endeavors to promote the feeling of identification of international students with the University and thus increase their interest, spirit and desire to serve the University. 

Structure:  IC is an independent organization, however under the umbrella of Student Life office and the Cultural Board.  IC also maintains close ties with entities such as the International Students Admissions, Dean of Students and Padnos International Center.
