The Infraternity Council (IFC) at Grand Valley State University works to promote positive Greek life, develop Greek community and assist the member chapters in programming and leadership development.

Currently the GVSU IFC has five member chapters, and one expansion group. All members of IFC at GVSU are nationally affiliated with the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC, www.nicindy.org). The NIC has 66 member chapters in many different countries and all fifty states.

Our IFC plans semester recruitment in the Fall and Winter semesters and coordinates programming throughout the year. The council also works on Greek relations with the university and the local community.

One of our best contributions are our scholarships to national leadership programs. Last year we sent men to Futures Quest and the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), both are programs of the NIC.
