Baking...
A cake that I decorated, just for the fun of it!I want to open a bakery in downtown Grand Rapids within the next 5-7 years, and my blog, Franny Bakes, is dedicated to the premature marketing of this business.  I do not want to focus on decorating cakes, but I have already completed two Wilton Cake Decorating Courses through Michael's craft store.  I enjoy making and decorating cakes for birthdays and justDutch cocoa products. about anything that calls for a cake (which is often everything). 

I prefer to bake with Dutch cocoa products because I really believe Dutch cocoa has a more rich flavor.  I guess I could be biased because I am Dutch, but that is not what is important.

Cooking...
    Spaghetti is my all time favorite food.  I am a carbivore.  Yes, I made up Pastaa scientific term.  It means I like carbohydrates, and lots of them, in everything I eat.  If it were nutritious, I would probably eat only Mast Brothers Chocolate, featured in a NYT article about the culinary movement in Brooklyn.pasta and bread for the rest of my life.
Faux words aside, I really enjoy cooking.  I love cooking for other people, having dinner parties, throwing my roommates birthday dinners, et cetera.  It also helps me save money and eat better by not eating out or on campus all the time.
