Genre Analysis Project & Revised Genre Analysis
For the GA project we investigated the audience(s) for a specific genre and the purposes it serves. We also investigated the formal features of the genre and explored the range of variation that can occur from one instance of the genre to another.
Tribute Page
As well as creating a Genre Analysis for this project, we also created a one-page web-based parody or tribute of the genre which illustrates its distinctive features.
User Assistant Project & User Assistant Process Log
For the UA project, we created a step-by-step how-to guide that describes in detail how to complete a task. Mine for example provides a step-by-step guide to creating and linking a Named Anchor in Dreamweaver MX 2004 documents.
LOC Project & LOC Process Log
For the LOC project, we worked in groups to conduct user research and localize a simple website to its diverse user groups by designing two local versions using Cascading Style Sheets. My partner and I researched two audiece groups (the people of Lebanon and the people of Spain) and designed websites for these groups based on the information we collected.
WebSolutions Project & WebSolutions Process Log
The specific goal for this project was to work as part of a team to develop a recommendation report for building or upgrading a website. My group chose to develop a recommendation report for a small recording company in Eastpointe, MI called The Disc, LTD through the use of usability testing, interviews and a genre analysis of similar sites.
