Elizabeth M. Conklin

Biography

I was raised in Dearborn, Michigan, which is just east of Detroit. My childhood was spent blowing bubbles, drawing on the sidewalk with chalk, and being chased around by my two older brothers, Mike and Jim.

I attended Ladywood High School, a Catholic all-girls school in the nearby suburb Livonia. I joined the cross country and track teams, and discovered running to be one of the loves of my life. It was in high school that I first began to love writing as well.

I moved out from my parent’s home to go to college at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, where I majored in writing. I graduated in April of 2009, and I’m hoping to obtain a job in the publishing industry or as a professional writer.

My hobbies still include running, as well as baking, playing with my cat, Choi, and drinking a lot of coffee.
