I am a senior at Grand Valley State University majoring in accounting. Upon graduation I plan on setting for the Certified Public Accountants exam. I enjoy all areas of accounting and have work experience with accounts receivable and payables, month end processing with general ledger, account reconciliations and creation of the financial statements. My goal is to become a Corporate Tax Accountant.

Work Experience
Home and Building Association of Greater Grand Rapids
August 1999 to Current: Position is Assistant Finance Director. I process accounts receivable and payables, month end entries, deposits, financial reports for events, collections, account reconciliation’s and inter company transaction. In addition, I do all the accounting for the Home and Building Association Foundation with the processing of the monthly financial statements. My systems experience is AMS Association Membership Accounting, Peachtree Accounting.
Snelling Temporaries
October 1998-August 1999: Position held Accounting Assistant. Processed accounts receivables and payables, general ledger entries, payroll for the temporaries and payroll taxes for all six branches. Systems experience Dayco Accounting.
Industrial Belting & Supply
July 1996-October 1998: Positions held were accounts payable and purchasing agent. I started in the Purchasing Department and worked as a buyer of industrial belts, hoses, other various industrial parts, during a computer conversion I learned and trained on the new system. Transferred to the accounting department June 1998 and processed accounts payable and learned and trained on system procedures for account payable. System experience is AS400 and Prelude.

January 1998-April 1998: Prepared individual income tax returns, with schedule A and B. Prepared self-employment income tax forms for self employed individuals.
Hobbies and Interest
I enjoy the summer weather; my family and I have a power boat that is my favorite toy. We also have quads and dirt bikes that we enjoy.
