MY POSITION

In my opinion, public schools shouldn't lose their money to private schools. It seems to me, that there would be little or no control on where money go in private schools. Anybody could open up a school and use taxpayers' money to function. I don't think it is right because there might be some groups that are socially undesirable that would open up schools and provide negative influences on our youth.

Here is a quote that I read in one of journals "Vouchers not only take away money from underfunded urban districts, they divert attention from much-needed reforms such as smaller classes, improved teacher training, and a more innovative curriculum".
