What to Donate
Goodwill accepts all kinds of donations such as clothing, housewares, books, shoes, toys, and furniture. We want to take as many of your donations as possible, but there are a few things we can’t accept.
When you’re going through your donations, please also keep in mind that we can’t accept things that are broken or in poor condition. We don’t have a repair facility here, which means we have to recycle or throw these things away. So please recycle anything that you know we can’t sell.
Please call us if you’d like to donate your special treasures, such as gold or silver jewelry and precious gems, original artwork, vintage clothing, and antiques. IRS regulations prohibit charitable organizations from assigning or determining the value of your contributions, so we cannot do appraisals.

Items we cannot accept
Goodwill cannot accept some items for a variety of reasons including safety hazards, inability to repair items, and high garbage disposal fees:
- Used mattresses or waterbeds
- Electric or kerosene heaters
- Paint, paint thinner or other flammable substances
- Poisonous or hazardous substances
- Car batteries or other corrosive materials
- Used tires
- Large appliances
- Most building materials
