Rm. 201 Our Mission
La Pulperia Nica (the Nicaraguan Grocery Store) is our attempt to bring awareness of social inequality to GVSU by providing our peers with information on challenges facing impoverished countries such as Nicaragua. Our efforts to alleviate the social inequality include providing Nicaraguan fair- trade coffee and other goods to directly profit those that are responsible for their production. Our History and
People
After a study abroad trip to
Nicaragua, a group of Grand Valley Students decided to start an
organization. Courtney spearheaded
the project and, in turn, serves as our president. In fact, three of the four
officers are students that went on the trip.
