Teaching Philosophy

Once an educator, I will realize even further how each child learns and creates in different ways. All students are influenced by technology and its constant growth and change. It is important to integrate technology in the classroom, to teach a plethora of media options to the students.

As technology advances it is important to recognize how these advancements can further art education. Art making includes very broad spectrum of ideas, media, and resolutions of thought. Technology already has allowed advancement of what art and art making can mean. With technology the definition of art can become even more diverse.

Art making should be an act that helps students understand the world around them and allows them to comment about their world. I wish for all of my students to feel valued and that their thoughts matter. I hope to foster this notion through the art making activities done in class.
