Q: When does formal recruitment take place?
A: Formal Recruitment will take place this year September 12th- 14th. Information tables start in late August.

Q: What requirements do I need to fulfill in order to be eligible to go through recruitment?
A: In order to be eligible to go through the recruitment process, you have to be a full time student and have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Q: How much are dues? Are they expensive?
A: Dues vary by chapter, but New Member dues can average between $380 - $540. Active Member dues can range between $145 - $260.

Q: How do I sign up?
A: Sign-up opportunities until September 12th at 2 pm.




Greek Terms to Know


Rho Gamma (recruitment guide) a personal confidant who will be there to assist you throughout the recruitment process

Panhellenic Council coordinating and governing organization for social sororities

Potential New Member (PNM) person who has registered and met the grade qualifications for recruitment

Legacy a potential new member who's grandparent, parent, or sibling is a member of a particular sorority or fraternity

Active a person who has been formally initiated by a chapter

Alumni/Alumnae an initiated member who is no longer in college

Bid a formal invitation to join a chapter

New Member Period a period of learning about Greek Life prior to initiation

New/Associate Member one who has been accepted as a sorority or fraternity member, but has not yet been initiated

Initiation a formal ceremony, usually secret, during which a new member begins their full membership
