Harbor
Beach is a small town located in the Thumb of Michigan. During
the summer months, tourists come from all around to see what the little
town has to offer. The town offers many activities during the
summer and winter months alike. Some of the most popular events
that Harbor Beach hosts are the Winter Festival, Maritime Festival,
Farmer's Market, and last but certainly not least, the fishing. Harbor
Beach is home to two marinas, a handicap accessible walking pier, and
many opportunities to catch a fish of a lifetime. Harbor Beach
hosts multiple fishing tournaments throughout the summer including the
Can2Can tournament and the Pro-King Tournament. Many
anglers like to utilize the North Park Campground to stay for the
weekend and launch their boat right across the street at the Harbor
Beach Municipal Marina. Another popular tourist attraction is Lighthouse Tours offered during the summer months. |
Harbor Beach is home to the United States Coast Guard Station. The station is in operation year round and is large enough to train new recruits. This is a picture of what a U.S. Coast Guard boat looks like. |
