EVIDENCE: Fingerprints were gathered from the empty plate.

FINGERPRINTS are special marks left by a person's fingertips whenever they touch something. No one has the same FINGERPRINTS as anyone else.

All of the suspects had a reason why they did not want their fingerprints to be taken:

• Robb Berr said the ink would transfer onto his prized harmonica.
• Alice Krook said it would mess up her nails.
• Charles Riminal claimed his elephant would not eat peanuts out of a dirty hand.

Finally, all three of the suspects were convinced to allow their fingerprints to be compared to those found on the plate. On the next page, compare the print found on the plate with those of the suspects.
