GUS
My most recent rescue, Gus Gus, is my darling boy. When we found him, he was covered in mats, and we could feel his ribs, but despite all this, he came prancing over to us, purring.
And he hasn't stopped ever since. I'm serious.

 He
never stops purring. We brought him to the vet to get his shots, and they said he purred through that. He's a freak.

He's also the greediest little cat I've ever met. Greedier than Sirk, and he's obese. He will eat anything if you leave it for just a minute. This is why (one of) his name sake(s), Gus Gus, the mouse from
Cinderella, fits him perfectly.

(His other name sake is Augustus Waters, a character from John Green's novel The Fault in Our Stars.)
SIRK
Affectionately named, by my sister, after the half-circles on his back. Half of circle is "Circ", but, for some reason, spelled "Sirk", he is also named for Cirque de Solei because we had recently gone to see it.

We found him abandoned at a camp ground on the way back from a road trip. He looked so hungry, so my sister and I fed him some charred hotdog buns we found in a fire pit. We put water into a water bottle cap. Finally, we decided that we had to take him with us. So we took him back to the car, and put his bottom half in a grocery bag, "just in case."

We laugh now when we think of how skinny he was when we found him. He's giant now.  But we all love him dearly anyway.
ALLIE
Allie is my baby. I've had her since I was six. She was my first real pet, and we're basically attached at the hip. She's very tempremental, and doesn't like many people, but she loves me.

She's a calico and the inital reason I love cats so much. When I was younger, we were inseperable. And by that I mean, I would never put her down. She's so soft and I know just where to pet her to get her to collapse with purrs.

It seems strange to say, but she's always been there for me since I've had her for such a long time. In a way, she's like my mother. She taught me the "correct" way to treat her, and through that I've learned how to respect animals and even other humans.
BRIANNA

That's me. And one of my cats, Allie. I'm a Film and Video student at Grand Valley State Univeristy - you know, the one who owns the server your using. I'm an aspiring animator and writer.

When I was little, my mom would always say that in another life she was a cat. I grew up with cats all around me, and I've loved them all that time. They inspire me because they know what they want. Maybe in another life, I, too, was a cat.
