Hello! Glad you're still here with me! Now that you've learned more about Parkour and Freerunning, I bet you're asking yourself: Where do I begin? You sure are full of excellent questions! Well, first you need to find a place to practice. Generally speaking, a local park or not too populated urban setting would be ideal. On the other hand, most traceurs and freerunners can make due with a picnic table! It's all personal preference! Once you've found that spot, start to practice some basic moves. For tips, tutorials, or other general information, visit the American Parkour website or 3Run's website! Now that you've found a place and some basic moves, you should probably find a group. Parkour and Freerunning are very uniting, you don't need a fancy icebreaker to start a conversation regarding Parkour, just mention it. If a person does it, they'll tell you! A great place to train (and meet people) is a gym. There aren't many Parkour or Freerunning gyms, so this may not be an option for you. OH! Before I forget, be respectable towards local law enforcement. What we do can be misunderstood and seen as destructive. If you're asked to leave, don't make a scene!
