- #1 rule: If it is PAINFUL...Stop! (pain receptors are part of our bodies to let us know where there needs to be an adjustment made)
- Always maintain positions that allow for proper balance
- Keep your back as straight and flat as possible
- Never lift from the ground with straight legs
