Analysis of Project #1

The resource page assigned to us as project 1 was intended to help us learn to build webpages and write appropriate content for those pages. The audience for this project is fellow Writing 351 students, as well as any other person seeking help building webpages.

The design ideas for my site were meant to be simple and non-distracting. The layout for the project 1 page were made similar to each of the other pages on my website to allow for consistency. I used the basic Grand Valley colors so the pages would fit well in the GVSU classroom environment. To practice my skills using HTML and CSS, I played around a bit with hover-links to give the site a little less of a generic feel. The first link on my resource page (Lissa Explains it All) was infinitely helpful in teaching me these and many other CSS techniques.
