About the Resort

The Riviera Maya Barcelò-Tropical Resort is located in the Riviera Maya district, which is south of Cancun in Mexico. They offer many different types of rooms and many different amenities in order to give their guest the best vacation experience possible. Pool

The pool at the Riviera Maya Barcelò-Tropical Hotel is vary spacious. It also has a swim up pool bar the 18 and over people can enjoy. Around the pool there is enough shade to rest under if you get too hot, which is really nice on those extremely hot days. There are also poolside restaurants right next to the pool-bar which will let you conveniently eat in your bathing suit as long as you have some sort of cover up on and shoes.

Kiddie Pool

The Kiddie Pool is also located in the Tropical phase of the Barcelò Resort. It is strategically placed a little more away from the ocean so there is less of a chance that your kid will wonder off to the big ocean and get lost. In the Kiddie Pool there are lots of fun things like slides and playscapes to play on while they are still in the water! There are chairs surrounding the entire Kiddie Pool so parents can stay close to their children.

Ocean Front

The beach is beautifully decorated with palm trees, white sand, and clear, turquoise waters. There are also many beach chairs to lounge on and little huts for shade. There is always a flag that is either green, yellow, or red for safe, cautionary, and unsafe swimming conditions respectively. The water is so warm and clean that there is always bound to be people playing around in it. The waves are also a big plus when it comes to having fun in the ocean.

City of Shops

Anytime during the day or evening, a guest at the Resort can travel past the lobby to the shops that sell souvenirs and other things of that sort. This is a very nice way of gaining memorable things from your trip without traveling out of the Resort, which would be an inconvenience and risk your safety depending on where you are traveling to. Another thing right next to the shops is a club called Club Jaguar that is for people ages 18 and up after 10pm.
