Here at Goodwill we are always changing and growing, trying to discover better ways to serve the individuals and the community. For example, this newsletter, which has undergone changes in order to better communicate to Goodwill’s community supporters. As you look through this re-designed issue you will read about other areas of change and growth such as:

  • The 29th Street store grand opening set a state record not only for sales but also for the number of customer purchases.
  • Shopgoodwill LIVE!, a new and exciting auction event, will take place November 10th at Bridgewater Place downtown and promises to be a one-of-a-kind event aimed at educating the community about the mission of Goodwill.
  • Goodwill’s Hospitality/Food Service program has begun handling the food service at Cascade Engineering’s Café in their new Learning Community.
  • The Disability Management Services program is growing and gaining momentum in both the business and not-for-profit communities, assisting more and more individuals with various barriers to employment on a daily basis.
  • Business Services moved much of its operations to the Grandville facility to increase efficiency and better serve customers.

Goodwill takes time everyday to find the best way to serve an individual, the community and customers. The changes listed above are just a few of the examples of what Goodwill does to improve the lives of those we touch. They are so important because each of them focus on continually improving the services we provide to individuals in the community.

For almost 40 years Goodwill has received the support of individuals, businesses and customers within our community. To succeed in changing lives through the power of work we will continue to need your help.

Enjoy the changing colors of the leaves and the wonderful stories of change at Goodwill!
