The
Black Keys are an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001.
The band is made up of Dan Auerbach (lead guitar, vocals) and
Patrick Carney (drums). They first started off recording music in
their basements and creating their own albums until they bloomed into
one of the most popular garage rock bands of their time. Their
music is heavily blues rock influenced, which comes from Dan Auerbach's
blues backgrounds. When they finally were able to sign a label
with Alive, the band released their debut album, The Big Come Up
(2002), where they would then go on tour traveling to and from small
night clubs and appearing at music festivals all over the country. They have since
then released a total of 8 full studio albums with the latest
being Turn Blue (2014).
