Blú Brass originated as the Grand Valley Honors Brass Quintet. We became "Blú" when we signed up for a master class that asked for a group name, and we discovered we all have blue eyes. I became involved during the fall of 2007, and we played together for three years.

Alex, Brielan and I graduated in 2010, and Blú Brass had our final performance in June. Next year, Alex and Brielan will be starting their graduate programs at Arizona State Univseristy and Western Michigan University, respectively. Paul will continue his studies in classical and jazz at Grand Valley, and Cory will complete his student teaching.

During our run, we performed on GVSU's student recital hour, each other's solo recitals, several church services, many commencement ceremonies, and the occasional wedding. Below, I've included several of our best recordings.
