The Hunger Games Trilogy consists of three books: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. American television writer and author, Suzanne Collins is best known for this series and for The Underland Chronicles.

The Hunger Games(Summary):
In the remains of what used to be North America, the Capitol of Panem continues to dictate the tweleve districts by forcing them to select a boy and a girl to compete in the nationally televised event called the Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games Catching Fire(Summary): After winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta return to District 12. Soon after, they are shipped off to begin the Victors Tour where Katniss realizes a rebellion is arising. Katniss and Peeta comfort in the fact that they will never have to return to the arena. However, President Snow proves that he is still in control of the Victor's lives by changing the rules for the 75th Annual Games.


Mockingjay(Summary): After her rescue from the Quarter Quell, Katniss Everdeen finds herself in the supposedly nonexistent District 13. She soon finds out that her home, District 12, was destoryed by Capitol bombs. On top of that Peeta Mellark is brainwashed and being held captive by President Snow. In the third and final book Katniss must find the strength to lead a rebellion in hope of putting Snow's cruelty to an end.
