Far away, across the sea is the continent of Aradoc, home to many varied peoples, and now united under one imperial force.
General Overview
Aradoc is populated by a variety of races, not only humans, but elves (drow), troglodytes, the daemoni, and many other races. Where once these peoples fought each other with reckless abandon, times have changed, and now peace rules the land.
The Caprian Islands
The Caprian Islands are the haven of
the daemoni, the original fallen who brought with them the Balance that forced the old gods aside. The daemoni are
the descendants of those first demons and angels to fall, a group which later
interbred to a degree with some humans and, in larger numbers, the I'kina
and Madril tribes of drow elves. The Caprian Islands are a quiet, decent
place to live.
The islands are ruled by the daemoni, who are by
and large a peaceful race. The daemoni are very dedicated to keeping
their homeland the same quiet, decent place to live it has always been for
the past thousand years. The landscape is somewhat rugged, with
shoreline cliffs on some islands and mountains on all. The rich
valleys are ideal for farming and herding and vineyards on the slopes of
Mount Wintertide on the main island have earned praise across the globe for
its fine vintages.
Aradoc
Once, Aradoc was a patchwork of
duchies and principalities ruled only by the petty infighting and wars of
competing nobles. Today, the region has been brought under the tight
control of the daemoni and their allies, the Twelve Tribes of Aradoc (drow).
The peace and prosperity known in the Caprian Islands has since spread to
mainland Aradoc. The continent had been prosperous before, but
constant war had made it impossible for any to acquire much more than a
small amount of wealth. Most people in the region now look favorably
upon what has been done by the daemoni and the Tribes.
The continent is now split into thirteen principalities,
twelve on the mainland and one in the Caprian Islands. The Caprian
Islands are administered by the daemoni, while each of the twelve
principalities on the mainland are administered by a separate tribe of the
drow.
