Clematis paniculata
Clematis paniculata, Some Latin translation
Of some unholy plant.
Its twisty tendrils
Wrap around any tree,
Any scepter,
Forming a most intricate web.
The trees quiver from moving air,
But the clematis holds strong.
Unwavering
As if it was born to hold the rest of the world up.
It blocks the rays of ravenous sun,
But lets in shoots of hope.
It grows and builds and takes,
But forms some sort of structure,
Some sort of sanctuary,
For those who wait,
Under its blissful vines.
