Dorm Room Music Production

Software  *  Hardware  *  Personal

Autobiography

I am a classically trained musician, starting with the piano at age three. From there, I picked up playing the guitar in the fourth grade, and drums, bass guitar, harmonica, saxophone, and various other instruments in the time after that. My interest in audio production and engineering did not begin until around eighth grade when I received my first set of recording equipment. Throughout high school I performed in bands as well as releasing the occasional solo project as well as assisting with the production of albums from local bands in my area. Most of this work was done by someone performing a song while being recorded into a computer or a machine. My interest in beat production did not peak until I was well into my first year of college. I came to school with intention of finding other musicians to collaborate with and make music. Solo beat work began only as a result of not being able to find enough talented and diversified musicians. Nevertheless, even though I am in the beginning stages of becoming a producer, I have years of experience with me.

A short sample of some of my work can be heard here:

Since moving to the west side for college I have adjusted to the decreased space in the dorms to be able to still be productive.
