Who We Are Our Shows Mission Statement STAGE History | Who We AreOur AcronymSo what does STAGE really stand for? Student Technicians and Actors Guild for Entertainment (STAGE) is Grand Valley State University’s only student-run organization for the theatrical arts. STAGE is completely nonprofit; all shows are free to attend and it is free to join as well.
What We DoWe are a student-run organization that has a common love for the theatrical arts, and we hold meetings once a week on Tuesdays at 9pm in Manitou room 102. At the meetings we discuss our organization and upcoming events. We of course perform a few different shows throughout each semester, including SOAPs, SPAM, and our Full-Length production. More details of these shows can be found at the link to the left. Anyone who has been to at least one meeting or has been involved in at least one show is considered a member. All are welcome to participate!
Our PurposeOur main goal is to provide as many theatrical opportunities for GVSU students as we can. For every show, we are looking for writers, producers, directors, actors, and stage managers, along with people to work on set pieces / props, assemble equipment, and run lights / sound. At the end of each year we hold an election for president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and interviews for public relations positions. But we are always looking for new members, so no matter when it is during the semester, we want you!
